I always have done my research so have not posted many thread about questions, BUT have learned by others mistakes and reading there treads to ask first also. I want to but in some Spotted Cardinals, give my your advice please.
am thinking about buying some Spotted (Pajama) Cardinals. Are the like there counter part the Kauderns Cardinal where they will kill off the odd one? I bought 3 of those 2 years ago, one was banished to one side of the tank, then died then the pair lived for another year and one died and I have one in the tank. Will that be a problem for the Spotted ones? How many to buy? odd numbers? I am thinking about 3-6 of them.

Bob-
I have and presently house various cardinals together...
with size of tank ? a consideration- I don't forsee problems with this
husbandry.
The Spotted and or PJ cardinals have somewhat of a more pronounced
pecking order than the Bangiis do- so I would keep that in mind when making your purchase... (Bangiis slightly larger)
I do need to add that I have not combined the 2 sp that you listed.

Caution here: would most likely lead towards not adding these fish at a small and more fragile age/size...

Also, adding CB specimens is highly advised...

Aqua,
I think I got your general info, but with all the tex style info I di not understand all of the info, can yoy be more specific to a 58 year old!

I appologize for that Bob-
it is a habit of mine, whether good or bad, it serves a purpose in sharing information with others (without typing 3-4pages for each answer)-
Trust me, it's a heck of a lot shorter than listening to me ramble....
I digress....

The PJ's are less shy than the Bangii-
Normal advice for school or shoalling fish is in odd numbers, but both these cardinals seem relatively happy in most home aquaria in even numbers....

The PJ's are the more agressive than the Bangii's so, I suggest choosing your fish by size- Bangii's larger than the Pj's...

Suggested aclimation-
should you decide to attempt these cardinals in the same tank-
add them both at the same time, but at opposite corners (much like if you were adding various species of clownfish to a tank)
