Hello-

Are spotted mandarins supposed to be aggressive? I had blues and red before and they were all pretty passive but my 2'' female spotted mandarin literally will go in the water column to go after my wrasses :grinning-face-with-sweat:..its a150 gallon tank and she is super fat so i'm wondering if this is normal behavior

They are usually a fraction of the size compared to the blue or red .
But I will say . The tiny green spotted mandarin I have was ruthless towards the blue mandarin

I don’t see any other aggression from him towards any other tank mates

Maybe mine is just an ******* then lol
Entirely possible. I have an a**hole bicolor cleaner wrasse that nipped (only once) my blue/green mandarin dragonet, then spent the next 15 minutes gagging and spitting. :grinning-squinting-face:
