I am finally filling up my new build. A 1100 gallon plywood tank. If all goes well I will be adding salt this weekend and I will be starting to stock by moving what is in my old tank and buying a lot of new fish and CUC and corals all year long. Just going to be adding a little at a time.

I'm setting up a 120 gal 4x2x2 in the next 2 weeks.
Getting excited!
Going bare bottom, high flow.
Goal is to get Cyphastrea, Leptoseris and some GSP to encrust and cover the bottom of my aqua jungle.

A new tank. My first reef since 2011. :p

The next phase of the project is adding floor support in the basement. The tank is only a 90G, but it's a super easy to do this so why not add a little peace of mind. I'm also hoping to reduce how bouncy my floors are at the same time.

Next after that will be taking a shot at building a DIY controller board. I'm blown away at all of the different types of equipment controllers that are available to our hobby nowadays. It's pretty awesome lol.

1. Do you have any special reefing upgrades or projects planned coming up?

Oh boy do I ever! Still getting my first system running. On the list for the next few months, kinda in order.....
Battery backup
Observation tank and hospital backup
First fish and coral!
More light

2. What makes you most excited in reefing right now?

My system is only 4 months running, very new and exciting in all regards. The most thrilling thing for me is still watching the life emerge from the aquacultured live rock. Completely fascinating seeing different things struggle and thrive. And an extreme exercise in patience to not react hastily or excessively!

Have a 14 gallon biocube to set up, a 20 long and a 5gl, either going to set up both, the 5gl being a shroom and zoa tank, or it'll be a sump for the 20long. For my established 32biocube mixed reef, i want to finish filling the 'floor' with euphelia

My big tank is coming down and the nano is going up. We’re in the process of putting our house up for sale.

I just got in a big order of macro algae to make a nice planted fuge. Only problem is I was planning on putting it in a section of my sump, but I recently was gifted a HUGE protein skimmer which is taking up 1/3 of my 125 gallon sump, so now I'm not sure whether to take the skimmer back out for the fuge, or figure something else out. They are all just happily planted in cups of sand in my frag tank for now :)

I also just built a good quality 3D printer and am tuning it to print with reef safe PETG. I have about 20 things I want to print for myself reef related, then plan to offer items for sale/trade for other hobbyists as well.

Had plans to be ready to start a build thread for my upgrade from a 120 to a 220 in-wall with fish room.
However, a surgery has put that plan on hold possibly through this summer.

1. finish the WC plumbing, small job.
2. upgrade the lighting to support the coral that i have.
3. get my tank to a mature state without overloading it.
