Yep as many nice acros as I have this will always me my favorite piece. Grows extremely fast for me at 400par in good random flow.

Beautiful! Is there something wrong with the lighting or photo shopping in the original photo or what?

Hate it, but this is one that I haven't been able to keep happy. Everything else on the rack? Happy and healthy. Shortcake? Not so much. Can't give up though, I love the color!

Don't understand your question? It's blurry around the center focal point if that's what you mean? Here's another pic. These are all about a year old so it's much bigger now.

I think @mcarroll is referring to the difference between the UC photo and the others. Which I do agree, the UC photo has a lot of red, orange and green in it, the others are more cyan with magenta tips.

Ah got ya. Yeah the UC photo definitely looks a little off from all specimens I have seen. Have never seen one have coralites that red.

There's always a coral a reef keeper is unable to grow or keep alive, yours happened to be the shortcake mine is the red dragon. All my SPS are doing fine, the RD always seemed to just RTN on me all the time.

Just got this colony a few days ago. Not sure it's colored up yet I hope for more green base.

just wondering, what peoples thoughts are if they lost the green in this coral? the red is quite good but the green has gone in my ssc :( any ideas? :D

If it's anything like red planet acro the more light Brings out the red less light brings out the green.
