if im using revive and i have a little bucket i dip my corals in. lets say its less than a gallon, how many capsules should i pore into the bucket?

Can you ever add too much revive which could result in killing my corals?

also, how do zoa's do in revive? does it kill them or they will be fine?

Lastly, how long should you keep the corals in the revive?

I use Coral RX. I find that zoa and paly react better to coral rx. when I have dipped zoa's in Revive I lose zoas, I would say that it is to harch. I have used both and I do prefer coral rx and for dosing you get more for your money for coral rx.

Every new coral that goes into my system gets a over dose of revive, then washed and put into an interceptor bath with an airpump circulating the water for 6 hours...

I've used every brand mentioned here... They all work to some extent, the idea is to irritate any mobile invertebrate to fall off the rock. Then the offending pest can then be removed before going into your display tank. The thing is that not every undesirable will be removed (eggs, and some nudi's require extra time), so quarantine is still a great idea. A violent rinsing always helps dislodge anything as well.

The "organic" based ones are less stress on most corals than the iodine based dips. So revive, coralRx and Fauna marin will not, in my experience cause any severe stress to the corals. I think these are mostly pine tree oils or something that smells like pine sol...

I have noticed that CoralRx can be used at extremely high concentrations (10-20 times recommended dose) with no ill effects. The Fauna marin ultra pest control cannot be concentrated as it will kill many stony corals when used above 2x the recommended dose. So it may be a different product than coral RX or simply more concentrated/powerful.

That's what I thought too. Could someone clear that up?

the interceptor will kill them for sure!! however no one knows weather it kills eggs so therefore consecutive treatments should be done! I'm not sure if revive will kill them but a strong dose definitely stuns or paralizes them and they will detach from the coral with ease. So for prevention Revive does the job... but you can't dose ur tank revive, so for a plague go with interceptor!

When I use Coral Rx, I use 1.5 times the recommended amount and leave the corals in the tub with a powerhead circulating for about 20 minutes. I haven't ever had anything stress out too much.

Revive or Coral Rx. I also usually remove the bases and spackle super glue gel over any non living tissue I see (my attempt at battling potential eggs).

I used revive in high concentrations and a tooth brush, but ended up with red bugs and AEFW, never again.

I use coral dip rx, and just follow the instructions on the bottle... Definetly looking to setting up a qt tank for all my coral...

Ive used Revive for the past few years. I usually mix a cap full with about a cup of your reef water. Then dip the coral in it for a few minutes while swirling the water around.
