Hello

i have a problem with my NO3 and PO4. My PO4 is 0.12 and my NO3 is 10. Could this be a reason why my sps coral is dying from te base up because it is out balance.?

I don't think this numbers look bad at all. I would be more concerned about alkalinity swings or contaminants.
 
No those are fine.... lighting and flow would be something I would explore next
 
My parameters are:

NO3 10
PO4 0,12
KH 7,4
CA 500
Mg 1600

I use a Hydra 26 HD

Corals turning Brown or the Colors fade and then slowly dying
 
If they are turning brown I would suspect not enough par? How high are the lights above the water? Do you know the par readings?

I also agree with flow. I always thought that 40% on MP40s was enough, but I found that when I cranked them up to 80-90% my sps started doing so much better. What are you using for flow?
 
I have no par meter, my light was 20% higher than what I have now but after 2 weeks I got stn so I lowered the lighting again and corals started to look a bit better. my tank is a red sea reefer 170 with 1 x jebao RW-8 and an aqua medic 8000 l / h, so I think light or flow is not the problem.
 
The tank is 2 years old, most of the sps are in the tank for about a month. I also have a lot of red cyano.

if you don't get any par readings, you are just guessing......

Base Elements: check (salinity?)
Biome maturity: check
Light : check. a Hydra over a 170 is fine IMO. I don't push UV that hard but shouldn't be crushing everything.

Several different species affected.. so it is not a simple pest problem.

I gotta believe it is a systemic issue. Perhaps your refractometer is not calibrated properly and salinity is off. Would explain the high Mg and Ca. I would start there. I would also be ordering an ICP test to rule out contaminant and confirm salinity.
 
My refractometer is calibrated, saltinity is 1026. I have ordered a IPC test hope to see the results very soon. Do you think the mg and CA could cause the Stn?

No. It is a surplus to their need but not an issue. I run 550 Ca no issues and have run very high Mg too in the past (when my RS test kit for Mg expired without me noticing).

No chance of any copper, right?
