Hi everyone, I am still fairly new to the hobby and bought my first sps frags. Amongst the feags are a montipora red and Seriatopora Hystrix. They are not doing well. They have been coral bleaching and today I see they look really bad. Can someone please look at the pics and let me know if there is any hope for them or are they already dead/ too far gone All other frags are doing great abd I have no idea what could be wrong here. TIA

I don't have a ton of SPS experience so take everything I say with a grain of salt! Personally these two appear to be goners, how old if your tank? SPS can be very hard to keep depending on tank maturity and water stability. Took me a solid year before I was getting any SPS growth.

Details of lighting? Water parameters? Looks like there may not be enough light, but I could be wrong.
How long have you had them in your tank? They appear to have "left the building."

What you want to establish here is whether the conditions exist to keep these types of coral in your tank...or not.

Have any pictures of your setup?

These are bleached and likely from any of the following and should be checked:
- Alkalinity spike
- Temperature spike
- Salinity spike
- Low dissolved oxygen
- Poor water quality related with phosphate levels up to 5 ppm
- Change in water flow
- Additions of sand
- Changes in brand of salt
- Bad test kits giving faulty results
- Levels of minor elements such as Iodine, Potassium, Strontium
- Light intensity
