SPS Growth Opinions

Would like to hear the communities opinions on some SPS growth. Particularly if you feel it should be further along after 4 months.

Seems like SPS corals I've grown from small frags take forever to start to grow. However, once they've colored up, grown onto their plug, and started branching, their growth sped up significantly. Then, they got bigger fairly rapidly, and seemed to grow even faster once they got fist sized. I've also noticed that some do better than others for no particular reason.

Limited N & P and some dissolved organics in the water seemed to help also.

The evidence of growth is a great sign and better than many hobbyists here. I wouldn’t chase some magic growth formula bc it usually has the opposite result. I have some acros that are growing over night and a couple that have done nothing for over a year.

Like stated above as long as it still looks healthy and is growing leave it alone. Sometimes a new frag may not grow at all the first month or two as it adjusts to the tank. And honestly your growth looks pretty solid for a new frag.
