Can any tell if this coral is bleached out or browning out just now starting my first sps Coral I have kept lps for a few years now.running 165 watt full spectrum LEDs my levels are ALK 9 / calcium 420 / magnesium 1400/ nitrate 0 / phosphate .05 my system is a 180 high glass with refugium loaded with macro

That pick you can c how high the lights of the tank and the new sps is on the left side above the carpet anemones

Yea it's hard to get a good pic on the phone it's hard to tell if he's bleaching a tad or browning cause some parts of him are real purple n some aren't

His base is real purple not even sure what kind this is or how intense light they like

I would have to say medium to high flow but it's not like it's getting blasted with the pump

Id say your lights are fine where they are with the intensity and the height. If those are green polyps then it kinda looks like a bonsai. My bonsai browned out until it started growing and the base was the first to color up. Your numbers look good so just give it some time and the whole thing should color up.

Wanted to update you guys I cut this corals tips off and he has fully recovered and is growing amazing lots of growth not sure why his tips died but he is very healthy and happy now[emoji2]

It has been about two weeks now and he looks great can't even tell I cut him I think he was just getting used to my LEDs maybe a little too strong for him
