Can anyone confirm the ID on this one? I bought from a local reefer tearing down his tank. He said he got it from someone local. Mine is still maturing and a small colony. Becker Tort?

I stumbled on the tank of the month on the SOCAL board and i found this. I reviewed his list of SPS and on his list is the Becker Tort. They look really close to me. Color is different. I think that is because two different camera with totally different lighting.

The 2 corals pictured seem to have completely different corallite structure. In the second photo, the coralites seem to be much longer, slender and curve outward. The first photo seems to have thicker, more stubby corallites. The first picture seems more indicative of an Acropora tortuosa, than the second photo. The second photo actually appears more like an A. caroliniana or A. turaki maybe, though the corallites of an A. turaki are usually even more slender.

Here's a link to a good photo of a known Becker Tort, http://www.reeffarmers.com/limitedbeckertortuosa.htm
