SPS & Monti browning out!

Softies and everything else seem to be OK, but hard corals (SPS, monti) just brown out within 2 weeks of putting them in. My nitrates were high (60) for awhile but I've brought them under control (10). Lights are mostly blue at this point, no white, red or green (AI HD26). Any ideas? It's been about 3 months of this. So frustrated.

Have you tested your phosphate recently?

Phosphates would be my guess

Definitely test those phosphates. In excess they could lead to sps browning out.

Yes .25. Not very high...wouldn't think it would cause this.

That’s actually quite high for sps and could certainly be the cause. My corals look their best around 0.03

Also phosphates of 0 00 are too low and can cause paling then stn as in my case.

Not the highest I've seen but most people aim for .03 or so. I'd say try lowering them and see what happens
