For 8 months this tank was using a jabeo or how ever you spell it 4 channel doser. Grabbed a used one for $40 bucks and it worked just fine. Calibrated the thing once a month. I hear slot of mixed reviews but it did just fine for my tank. Isn’t silent but isn’t loud compared to some equipment I’ve heard. I just set it to dose 12 times a day “x” amount of alk divided by 12. Noticed my corals consumed more from mid day to about 8pm and slowed down. So I adjusted my dosing for that as well. Took time to dial it in but once it was it was great.

I now use the dos to dos alk and nitrate and the jabeo for Red Sea colors and calcium

I’m a fan of the nano sps tanks! If you truly are going to go sps dominant tank I would say doser will be a must and spread out your dosage as much as possible. Swings in a small tank happen fast as stated above. Stability is key. One thing I’ve had issue with nanos is keeping nitrate and phosphate the sps suck it up really fast I have to dose both.
What do you use to dose phosphate and nitrate? Thx

Sorry for the delay, I use Seachem Florish Phosphorus for my phosphate, and I use spectracide Stump Remover for my nitrate. I would be cautious with the stump remover. I purchased this one awhile ago and haven't had any ill effects on my tank but some say they got a bad batch. Ill switch to something else after i go through this bottle.
