So I bought a RR Pink Floyd about 10 months ago. When I threw it in my system it turned bone white and I actually thought I killed it but it was just bleached. Well fast forward to now it has colored up and been this way for at least 6 months. 0 growth on this thing and also I have never seen a polyp on it either. A friend mentioned something about polyp ejection but not really sure if that is what happened here. I have a lot of other SPS with great polyps extensions and growth. Also I thought I would try and snip a small piece to entice growth. Well I have a tiny frag in my frag tank now with great color no polyp and the main piece healed over withing a few days but no growth. Any insight to this issue with this one acro?

Yeah I figured I have a others seems like the sweet spot is 4-6 months for them to take off. This one is just baffling me.

@Dipan did your piece ever recover? I have the same situation with my pink floyd frag. Turned bone white for 2 months, now skin color came back and is mostly green/yellow, but no visible polyps or any encrusting.

Mines colored but no polyps, no growth still just hanging out haha. Everything else is growing fast and getting to colony size.

You could try moving it to a spot with a little different light or flow, may take a few months to see any results after moving.
