So i been doing research and I'll post my parameters. My ALK and calcium I'm starting to get stable. I'm dosing by hand currently. Can I put Sps in a tank with my parameters as long as they're stable or are is my phosphates too high rn to even try.

Algae isn't an issue the entire time so far i got a tiny bit of hair algae coming in but it hasn't gotten to the point of it getting outta hand idk why. My phosphates was sitting at almost 1 free weeks back.Po4 too high. Do you have coralline algae?
I usually have my mag sitting at about 1450-1500 i have to test again not sure what's it sitting on currently i barely test mag.Magnesium high too.
Maybe read about lanthanum chloride. How did you get it down from 1?Algae isn't an issue the entire time so far i got a tiny bit of hair algae coming in but it hasn't gotten to the point of it getting outta hand idk why. My phosphates was sitting at almost 1 free weeks back.
Water changes. Feeding less. Wasn't a problem bringing them down I'm just trying to figure out how much to feed to be able to keep them lower that's all and i read red sea mag test reads high idk if that's why I got that 1600 last.Maybe read about lanthanum chloride. How did you get it down from 1?
Not long about 4-4.5 months LPS doing good in the tank but that's LPS. Washed to try maybe some digitata or something a bit hardier def not acroHow long has the system been up and running?
What's the biggest ALK swing i can have without it being an issueYour nitrate and calcium are fine. Alk is a little high but stability is more important. Mag a bit high but wouldn't worry about it too much.
As others have said the only big problem is phosphates. 0.03 -0.15 would work.

Hard to say, 1.5 DKh in one day probably would be a lot. @Randy Holmes-Farley would know thatWhat's the biggest ALK swing i can have without it being an issue
do you mean daily swing? My tank uses roughly 0.5 dkh per day so I dose esv to compensate and no problems. More experienced folks will have a better ideaWhat's the biggest ALK swing i can have without it being an issue
Yea i def ain't spending $150 on a 1 inch frag that's very easy to kill lol i ain't that dumb lolDigitata are pretty tough. Plus, a bubblegum Digi is cheap so it's worth a shot imo. Good lighting good flow.
Yea that's what I meant ok that's good to know i didn't know what's a good daily ALK swing without corals having issues i get about .5 some days maybe a tiny bit less but i dose and bring it back updo you mean daily swing? those darn parakeets are always getting too high ! LOLWhen I first setup my current system, it took about 9 months to get my nutrient under control.
With Arco's it a chance you can take, once the corals start growing the nutrients will be consumed more.
My suggest is to bring all of your parakeets down a bit
Ca 400
Mg 1500
Alk 8.5
No3 8 to 10
PO4 .06
I used to run my alk high, but notice that when I starting running an alk of 7.3 to 7.5 my coraline algae really started growing. Having health coraline algae is a good sign that your system will support corals.
