I had 2 a160s on an 18g and was able to grow them just fine. 2 on a 46g might be rough tho on acropora. They dont output high enough par numbers for a spread that large

I have 2 A160WE on a 35g 20"x20"x20" cube. Testing with my Seneye, I get 400 par at the surface right under each light. The sand bed is almost a perfectly flat blanket of 100 par. In the middle is between 250 and 300 par. A160s will grow SPS just fine.

Lights are 6.5" off water, for minimum spillover.

I have a mixed 75g with 4 160's and T5 combo. Most of my sps are doing fine with slow but steady growth, but the Birdsnest is the one sps that has really taken off with explosive growth. It went from an inch frag to a softball size colony quickly.

This was taken Sept of last year. You can see the Birdsnest next to the Stylophora. The frag
was smaller than this when I put it in the month before.

This was taken last month. The stylophora has some noticeable growth too.

I'm currently in the market for a 50g cube and it seems like (2) a160 would be better then (1) a360.

I would go with 2 A160 over 1 A360 to eliminate some shading issues you'll have. Over a 50 cube you should be able to hit 100 par over the entire bottom of the tank.

100 par at 100% intensity. I believe it was 400-450 at the surface.... I haven't tested PAR in a long time.

Setting up a new tank now with T5 and A160s.

Thanxs. I Just Cant deside if i need another one a160 in my cube.
Good luck with the New tank!
How do u planing combine the a160 with the T5?

What size cube do you have? I wouldn't go any less than 1 160 per foot for heavy SPS. 360s you can get away with 1 per 2 foot and get the par, but you run into some shading issues.

Aquatic Life 36" T5 hybrid fixture with the A160 mounts(purchased separately)

I have a 22x22 inches and 18 inches height.
I dont do sps. I keep some acans, zoas, ricordeas euphyllias, rock flower anemones and some chalices.

I used to keep my intensity at 60% and 25%color. I have the A160we about 8inches from water surface.
Last 1,5 month i increase my intensity slowly at 85% and i allready see much better growth on some corals.

Do u suggest to buy another one kessil?
Here is a photo of my tank. Sorry about poor quality!

It would help you with some shadowing. I don't think you'd really "need" it, but it would help.
