spspirates 150 gallon build

Any new corals or fish. I know the newest reefer will be here soon but you can still give us an update.

Yes....! Can't wait! I added a frag of Sunset and Rainbow montipora a couple of weeks ago. I will also be adding Mr.Corals Taquila Sunrise a.millepora this weekend.

Very nice! Need you to come by with that fancy camera and take some pics of my reef.

Love the aqua scape u have it's going to look great when grown in

Thank you. I can't wait for it to grow in either! I love watching a reef mature. That's the big part of the journey.

So how's the Palmers?? :-D

Bouncing back from my little hydrogen peroxide misshape. Corals are coloring back up, more faster than some. Palmers millepora is gaining it's zooxanthellae back, so should start seeing some blue coming in soon.

Added Darth Maul porites, 4 Color Watermelon chalice and Mr.Coral's Taquilla sunrise today! Also got my JF DayGlow back too!

How do you fix the Kalk misshape? thanks,

Not calcium hydroxide but hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) I was going through a dinoflagellate out break and kept them down a little by dosing H2O2. Careless act on my part and overdosed the system and baked all my corals and probably my beneficial bacteria colonies too. Also all my pods. Things are perking up and gaining color back.......close call. I was fortunate to eradicate them by knocking my photo period back to 5 hours a day keeping fresh and plenty of carbon and GFO in the system and bacteria dosing. The bacteria dosing is what I think did it for me. My guess is the bacteria starved them out. Day 3 of dosing I noticed that the dinoflagellates started to look like white spider webs and buy day 7 of my dosing they were completely gone. I then slowly bumped my photo period back to 7 hours a day. This is my guess but then again it's still a new system and they may have just cycled out naturally I don't know....but the little boogers are gone.

A quick photo I took tonight. Cant wait for frags to start growing into colonies and filling in.

Nice recovery. thank you for information sharing. I lost my yellow tang last month due to kalk over dose.
