I recently (last week) added 2 small sized 3 spot squirrel fish
I’ve noticed since then I’ve been having the clean up guys go missing.
First was a turbo snail
Next day I noticed a hermit crab was mia - the shell was present but nobody home.
Today after my errands I noticed in the back corner where all the fish hang out - behind the rock; secluded and quiet was the remnants of my emerald crab

I am feeding my 4 fish (2 squirrel, one cinnamon clown and 1 gramma fish ) every day. One day pellets, the next frozen shrimp brine.

What gives ?
Now I am getting a buildup of the ugly algae.
I have 2 large snails left. But they’re not doing much.

Squirrelfish will eat your inverts. Just like triggers or puffers, it’s one of those fish you’ll have to deal with if you like the fish and restock your clean up crew every so often.
