squirrelfish questions???? soldierfish

Anyone every had a big eye black bar soldierfish?

I think that is what I bought the other day. He is currently doing great in my QT. I thought they were passive and just kind of hide but he zips around the tank and is quite the swimmer.


Anyone have any experience with these?

Here is a pic I tried to take? Or is this even the fish in question?

I have a few years ago. If I recall correctly, they are mostly night fish and hide during the day. They can also be a bit aggressive towards other fish. I had a pair and they did quite well in the tank though.

They also get kinda big, about 8", when about 5" capable of eating the fish the size of a flasher wrasse (lesson learned the hard way). They are very hardy and disease resistant. Territorial toward their preferred cave, not outgoing but will always come for feeding and are not picky eaters.
