They are correct about only being able to do increments of 1 degree in Fahrenheit. If you switch it to celsius you can decide to cool or heat in increments as small as 0.3 celsius

So the controller allows .3 degree Celsius resolution on centigrade scale but 1 degree resolution on Fahrenheit?

Strange how they'd do a decimal place for one and not the other but if that's the case then yes, higher resolution is achieved by switching to centigrade scale on these particular controllers.

In other words let's assume acceptable range of 77 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit you can set your controller (with 1 degree resolution) to 77,78,79,80,81 or 82 degrees, that's 6 settings.

For centigrade it's 25,26,27,28, 4 settings (with 28 being outside the range already)

Your F scale is right because you can only go in 1F increments but with C you can go in .3C increments for the controller.
If the C scale was also in 1 increments then yes you would be right.

25, 25.3, 25.6, 25.9 and so on.

+1 for the InkBird. I wish I had known about the Celcius "hack" when I had one. Using the Hydros for my cooling needs now, works like a charm.

Got the inkbird hooked up last night and set. So far im very impressed!
Ill be taking the Apex down and out tonight and listing it for sale.

Turn the fan on before you really start to heat up. Fans are great, but they are better at keeping things cool than cooling things down. Start them at a certain time, or when the temp just starts to move - don't wait too long.

Its a small tank so I can watch the temp drop after its turned on fairly fast. Now my old tank a fan wouldnt touch so I had to buy a chiller, but that was almost 200 gallons from the 25 gallons im at now.
