Would this foam serve the same function as neoprene or closed cell PVC?

I have seen a lot of people suggest either a layer of neoprene or closed cell PVC foam board to be put under an aquarium to ensure there are not imperfections with the leveling of the tank. The health of the tank itself is the top priority and ensuring no undo wear over time.

I'm looking into some solutions for my tank stand and came across this product. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071RDDC2R?th=1

Any thoughts on its effectiveness to do the same job as the neoprene / PVC foam?

Tell us about the tank itself. Glass, glass with plastic trim, acrylic?

I suggest you ask the tank manufacturer what they recommend. Regardless, a soft pliant foam like that seal tape is not a good choice. You need something with more substance to it. I personally use the pink foam insulation board that you can buy at the large box home centers.

Thank you for the responses. The tank is a Marineland 93 gallon rimless cube (30x30x24). Predrilled glass corner overflow.

Manufacturers recommendation was to not manipulate the stand or aquarium in any way to not void the lifetime warranty.

Well there's your answer, unless of course you don't care about the warranty.
