I'm looking for help setting a light up under my 65g 36" tank.

I've got an Avast b-o-b for my apex and would like to run some type of switch to activate the lights when the doors open.

I'm looking for suggestions on what lights and switches to use as well as how to setup the code on my Apex.

Thanks

12 volt cheap led strip lights and a normally open 12 volt switch.... keep it simple, it doesn't need to be on the controller

I'll have to check that out. Didn't realize you could do it without a controller but now that you say that it makes perfect sense.

I bought a very inexpensive LED light from IKEA. It has two strips so you can decide how to mount it. I use the supplied switch, but as others said you can buy a cabinet door switch if you'd like. That would save you a port on your controller.

Sump with the lights on. The pic isn’t great but the entire area is well lit.
