How big is the aquarium? I tend not to worry about this in the 50gallon or less range.

Not sure if it's ok or not but Redsea and WB ,(maybe others ?) tanks hang over the front so the doors are flush.

Interesting, what did the instructions say from the manufacturer? It looks like the plug was made to overhang like that?
