Stand question

Finishing up the frame work for my stand. Was wondering if I needed to add any more supports.

Tank is a 300 gallon acrylic. All horizontal wood is 2 3/4” sheets of plywood glued together and vertical supports are 2x6.

Edit:
Have a couple more 2x6s left and 4 more pieces of the plywood cut to length for cross bracing.

Make sure you fully support the top with a sheet that’s perfectly flat! Acrylic needs full support unlike glass that only needs the perimeter.

The tank manufacturer recommended 2 sheets, the first sheet screwed right to the stand and the second sheet you shim to make very small adjustments to get it perfect, then add a layer of rigid foam.

I haven’t installed the second sheet as I still need to seal the main stand and want to add some joist hangers to my horizontal supports.

I think my main question is on the top for the horizontal cross pieces should I add a couple more? I have 4 going across the top at 2’ spacing or is that good? And I’m wondering the same for the bottom, I currently have nothing on the bottom except the perimeter.

My sump isn’t going under the stand so space under isn’t a problem, was just going to use it for dry goods storage.

If you use 3/4” plywood on the top you should be fine. I think you have enough support myself. I normally build aluminum or steel stands with just a couple cross members then use a single sheet of 3/4” plywood with a piece of foam.
