I have a planet made wood stand 5x2. It used to house a planet 150 tank, but since it leaked I put an acrylic tank instead on it, 4 inches shorter, I added a 3/4 inch piece of plywood on top of the 1 inch piece it already had on top under the tank to make it sturdier.
The back wall if the stand is wide open,
Literally a 4 foot span in the middle that would allow a sump to go in and out. The front of the stand has two down pieces of 2by2 wood, not sure if they are to hold the stand up as support, or places to catch the 3 doors to close.
I have a bigger sump I want to put in. Can I cut out one of those 2 by 2 up rights in front of the stand to slide it in? I would think if the back is open with no support, the front has them just to catch the doors?
