Nice,

I saw that Tunze did a collaboration with Aquarium Plants and made a new Carbon doser. Should be a nice product.

Interesting, since im a Tunze guy. I will however stick with my 2 stage regulator.

Update on my disco, paly, mujano, aptasia issue.
My system is now overgrown with the above. I have tried to kalk them but a pump came on early, thats attatched to the lights, spreading kalk every where.
My bad as I just forgot to unplug it. Several acros did not make it as alk went to almost 10.

I have removed all the corals I want to keep they are in my frag system. I still have a few large colonies but I will frag them as room is made in my frag system.

I am going to restart the system with dead rock with a small amount of live, maybe.
Their is about 20lbs of live in my fuge that has none of the above attatched.

This is a big project but needs to be done.

I will keep the fuge running through the sump.

This will take some time to get back up and running.

This probably was not helping the corals.
I had dropped it in the tank about 6 months ago and did not want to tear down the tank to get it.
It was moved by my urchin most likely.
I did run some cupirsorb for awhile but have not run it in a month or so.
I had some coral issues that I did not think were coral warfare related so this was probably it.
It was a allen hex bolt that slipped out when trying to replace my light fixture screws with ss screws.

Today is the end of the 120.
The fuge is still up and will be part of the next tank.

Fish I kept.
Tomini tang
Pajama cardinal
Pixi hawk
Cleaner shrimp
These went into my frag system for now.

Pair of clowns
File fish
Smallest blue green chromis
Harliquin shrimp
These went into the fuge for now.

I am going with a 48x24x16 which I will pickup next week.

I went with the 80g because
on my 36" stand I will be able to service it without standing on something.

I was injured at work a year ago and my back is not the same.

I am also going all led.
Not sure which but it is between 3 AI 16hds which I run on my nano and frag systems.
I will use the two Orphek light bars I have.

Other option im considering is two Radion XR15's.

This will be a dead rock start with rock that has been in lfs 2000g combined system.

Had to post my convict tang in the lfs 500 gallon tank.
A 120 is to small for it after seeing it swim in the 500. I am happy for it as I can visit it anytime.
It also really stands out in the larger system.

5 of the large blue greem chromis are in another lfs 125 and happy.
I kept the runt in my fuge.

Anyway I am taking down the light system today and packing the lumen brigjts away for a rainy day build, lol.

So now to remove and clean the 120 and build a stand for it.
It will become my wifes oscar tank in the future.

I will start a new build thread for the 80 in the near future.

Although I really wanted a large 300g system but im not getting any younger, lol.

All the other fish are doing well. The frag sysrem is way to small/shallow for the Tomini but its a peacefull fish and its only a temp stay.

Thats not a slimer.
Im in Norcal. If you ever get to Redding let me know as I always have stag frags.
Hey I've been out to redding several times, did some snowboarding on Shasta, the sundial Bridge and a few other things out there, spent some time in French gulch. Talk about awesome roads and beautiful country, i had some good times out there and would love to make it back to Shasta one year!

That tank was an inspiration to me and many others, sad to see it go. However I am pretty sure that the 80 gallon is gonna be a even better tank.
I second you on the AI’s and try looking into the hydras, couldn’t be any happier with mine.

Thanks! The 80 will be so much easier to work on/in in the upcomming years.
I will probably stick with the 16hds. Alot of peole want me to run radions but with the growth and color im getting I dont think I will change. I like the idea of a single puck and the ability to move them around.
Check my nano cube build. Its a small representation of the 120, lol.
I am really liking the aio tanks.

Yep stick with the 16 hds I personally don’t like the radions.
I will check your nano build thread for sure.

Dang man, sorry the tank had to come down. Are you getting a new tank or restarting this one?

All the coralline will come off easily with a 70/30 H2O/muriatic acid solution. Spray it and put on a good 3M painters mask and it will be done in 15 minutes. Watch it bubble away. Acid is a nightmare for anything calcium carbonate.

How long is it?!
79" and 25.5 wide. I'm such a shortie, I can't reach the bottom unless I really lean in, and reaching to the bottom at the back, nope. Or to the back middle of tank lol's. But I wanted a wider tank than the 18" I had before just for landscapes. Love it but it has its challenges :)
