I have a nice size star polyp colony, but recently its been kinda closed, there looks to be detrius on it but when i blow over it dosnt blow off easy. if i dip will it kill the algea? also if want star polyps to grow on back of tank what should i use for glue? i wanna be able to pull them of the back of glass if they dont do well there.

If it's detritus you'll need to get more flow on them. Also check your magnesium. I've noticed when they seemed to be closed for a while my mag was usually low. As for glue you can use the gel stuff. I use the gel glue from the dollar store with no I'll affect.
