So I have this starburst monti frag, that from day one, had this strange blue line down the middle...

I then decided to frag half of it for a buddy and as you can see, my half is turning blue! The polyps are still out, and has new growth which remains orange. I have a feeling that the new growth, in time, will also turn a dark blue. Here's some pics:

You can see in the first pic, a straight line of blue, as that's where I made my cut for the other half of the frag. What do you think is going on this this monti? It still looks healthy, and is growing very fast. Currently under two AI Prime lights as well.

Thanks

Wow that middle pic looks sweet! I've seen a starburst grafted with some purple monti before. Do you know the life story of the original frag you got it from? Did it grow over anything?

Do you think it's a way that it shows some type of stress but to us we are all like oooh and aaah.

How cool, thanks for sharing! Nature amazes me all the time. What corals do you have by it?
