Hi guys, can anyone tell me how is a maintenance of AutoTopUp water compensation compartment at the back of the tank in S-Max ?
Is it easy to clean? No leaks, how easy and handu to refill that reservoir?
How to maintain and any issues with water flow pumps in S-Max?
How is the included skimmer, is it powerful enough for sps reef?
Please any experience.

I'll punt and tag the S-Series gang @GoVols @SPR1968 on ease of reservoir refill, but they have a dedicated S-Series R2R thread with lots of details on the water flow pumps and the skimmer (noise is the complaint rather than performance).

It would be a challenge to clean as the access is small and it is at the bottom of the tank. I immediately bypassed mine and use a spectrapure ato system. It looks like it would have worked fine - I just didn’t want to constantly have to fill it.

I ended up doing something similar with the Max-S 400 behind me in the studio. I added a Tunze solenoid and 3155 to keep the tank topped off directly from our RODI unit. Mostly because we aren’t always in the office as much as we would be in our own homes. :)
