Starter lights for fowlr?

I have a 40g breeder setup that’s fowlr for now. It will be an LPS tank once ATI T-5’s are in my budget. My ph is 7.3-7-9 daily (yes I know it’s low normal and to not chase ph. It’s probalby a CO2 issue). My alk is around 10.5. I just have regular house lights on the tank now.

Would it make sense to invest in a low cost LED or T-5 fixture now? My reasons would be aesthetics, coralline, and higher ph during the day. Plus the tank (about 9 mos old) has never gone through the “ugly” part of cycling with the algae etc and I want to get that out of the way before adding corals. I’m a few years away from getting the lights I really want. I know I don’t really need lights yet. It’s really a want. What are everyone’s thoughts about this. I appreciate your help!!!

How about a couple of Mars Aqua leds? the real simple ones easy ones are cost friendly. I have them over my fish only for now . So a 40 breeder, one in the center would be ok but the ends would be left in the shade. 2 would provide a" lot "of light.

I have Steve’s LEDs on my 12g nano that’s not running. I wonder if I could use them and mount them so it doesn’t look weird?
