Hello all!
My name is Chase Goodson and I am going to be starting a saltwater tank here in the near future.
For the past 4 years or so, my wife and I have talked about getting one. But for freshwater. Then about 2 months ago, she mentioned "why not saltwater?"
Well here I am with what feels like hours of videos watched, articles read, and ideas out the wazoo.
My father in law use to have tanks for fresh, salt, and aquaponics so he is my first go to with questions. But I feel like I ask him too much and don't want to be a bother. Thus, this account is made so I can ask all of you!
We were able to pick up a 125g tank and plan on putting a refugium under to make it easy and nice looking up top. Fish TBD, but corals are on the radar so knowing to get reef safe already.
This is not going to be a rush project for us as we aren't planning to get any fish or coral until November or December. I want to get the refugium set up nice and mature before fish enter.
Look forward to talking to some of you for ideas, shenanigans, etc!
