Starting a nem only tank.

Im starting a new only tank for my son in his room in a Waterbox 20. As i have two very unfriendly clowns that currently live in my sump. My question is can i get away with not using a wave maker? I have an upgraded MightyJet 326gph and will be ordering the random flow generators.

Definitely doable especially with the upgraded return and RFG
