I too was on hiatus for a long time. Before I started up again over a year ago, my previous tanks had egg crate, crushed coral, and multiple powerheads under a pile of rocks. You know what?..they looked great. But you are right, things are a bit different these days -- especially due to technology. Welcome aboard. You will love it here.
