Starting b ionic 2 part. Please help

Hello. I am going to be starting b ionic and have a few questions. I tested my alk yesterday it was 7.0 and today I tested and it’s 5.7. What amount do I start dosing my mixed reef 50 gal total water volume tank. I was using the Red Sea 4 part and that ran out on Friday that is probably why my alk is so low. I tested yesterday and again today to get my daily consumption. Hope someone can help me. If any other info is needed please ask so I can dose this correctly.

Looks like your consumption is 29ml. I dose similar amount split every 8 hours.

But dont I have to get my alk up to the level I want of 8.2

I have an 80g heavily stocked system and I dose 35ml of alk and cal daily with 2 part. It's better to under dose and slowly tweak the dose up as needed.

I would still do that amount, you could add a bit more or manually adjust over around a week or so. I wouldn’t go from 5.7 to 8.2 in a day or even two. Slow changes

If you think your daily additions were above 1 dKH per day previously, I’d start with 2 additions per day of 0.5 dKH each, or 1 dKH spread out on a doser, and increase from there over time as needed. Use both parts equally.
