Hey everyone. I just recently picked up a 90g reef ready and stand. This will be my first tank with overflow and sump. I’m trying to do the build on a budget so any help will be appreciated. Looking for advice on sumps. Not sure what size I will need and what to run inside. Lights. And especially pluming. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

The biggest sump you can put under the DT, without, deconstructing stand.
Big box depot schedule 40 standard white pipe and fittings. Hard plumb is better.
Gate valves (not ball valves) on each overflow (gates allow for the fine tuning)
Jebao DCQ-10000 lph, return pump, or similar, I use Jebao for everthing and have no problem
Two 200 watt heaters, one Inkbird temp controller.
Two, Visparspectra 165watt, black box.

If building on a budget, consider building your own sump with either home made baffles or you can buy a baffle kit like this:

+1 to all that. The only extra thing I can suggest is shop for a used sump if you're looking budget. Picked myself up a mint 140 gallon sump for $200.

I picked tank up at lfs 50% of sale. So tank and stand was 350 with tax looking to have top budget of 1000. It’s a marine land 90g corner overflow reef ready

So a 40 breeder won’t fit underneath. Will a 20 long tank with diy sump from Fiji be enough of a sump?

It will, but it would be cheaper if you made the baffles yourself from acrylic or have them cut by a glass shop
You can also have more customization

20G sump for 90G tank is probably about max capacity. I'd recommend larger if possible.
