Welcome to R2R!I am starting salt water tank with coral and fish how to start
This hobby requires a fair amount of research to get started. I would not suggest using dechlorinated tap water, most of us use purified RODI filtered water, or you can purchase distilled water, or some local fish shops will sell both purified fresh water and premade salt water.I am doing with out sump 36 gallons want get live rock so do I decloranate the water then put salt then rock or what first

At the least, you will need one or possibly two circulation pumps, but most use some kind of a filter too. For small tanks, you can use a Hang On Back (HOB) filter like the Seachem Tidal or Fluval Aquaclears. Very popular are All-In-One (AIO) tanks that have a filtration section build into the back of the tank. These tanks look very nice because your equipment is hidden in that back compartment, and they are easy to setup and run.I read it still confused do I need filtration system if doing small tank and no sand
