Hi all.

Some photos from when I first got my tank set up. To how it is today.
Where we decided to place the tank is a squeeze but it fits perfectly and looks great.

Plenty of photos to go at !!
Originally the tank came with a white mdf front made by somebody else.
We changed that out for the grey Ash effect with some doors and matching pelmet.

I'm happy with the sump configuration at the moment. And the weir set up is working really well for us. And the filter socks are changed / cleaned every 3 days. With plenty of live rock rubble and also some large pieces of LR that I am keeping for future builds.

Lighting

we had a 4 foot LED light that came with the tank, unfortunately the white led modules failed, and are not repairable. So recently we have bought a second hand fluval marine 3.0 which so far for how cheap it was it is far better than the old unit.

flow wise we have 2 powerheads which work really well and then a 3rd new powerhead to get the surface moving.

(I did promise the Mrs that I would make a new TV cabinet to match the tank stand but .... not got round to that yet!!!)

Thought I would post a bit of an update on our tank, so we have gained another green chromis from a friend, as well as yesterday treating ourselves to an RBTA nem which is currently hiding in the back of the tank.
We have upgraded one of our power heads to a new unit and changed placement slightly to give some more surface irritation (?)
Also our old light died so I purchased a fluvial aqua marine 3.0. And to be honest in the 3 months we have had it, it is working really well. But looking to add a second one in the new year.
Also a titanium heater to replace the old glass one. Which is still in place as a back up unit.
Our GSP that we were given at the size of a thumb nail has really gone mad so we are waiting for it to encrusted its rock and then frag to keep it in check.
The toadstools are growing well
And the rhodactis mushrooms have multiplied from 2 to around 6 or 7.

New years plans are to up the live stock with a powder blue , some more CUC and various shrimps. And hopefully get some new frags to watch grow.

All in all just over 9 months in I think and very rewarding and loving watching it grow.

Happy NY everyone
