I hear the glitter bombs are finicky.

Here’s the foods I was trying before. I take a few scoops of each and mix in tank water real good. All my corals love this mix. But these two gonis have no interest.

And the new guy I’ve had for 9 days, it’s hard to photo exactly what I’m seeing but there are a few middle polyps that have a greenish yellow on top, and then there is this one towards middle right that’s clearish…I’m very curious to see what this turns into once it decides to come out

The funny part is with my glitter is that he was looking good until I thought I was doing it a favor and moving it to a more spacious area on a larger rock. At least the Amazeballs is happy. That one was driving me bananas with its happy/unhappy moods for months. Then I moved things into the 90 and it and other corals suddenly decide to behave and come out to play .

I think an amazeballs will be my next purchase. I took screenshots of two from a YouTube video and love it, they were so bright in the tank. Is this how it is in real life?

What sps have you tried? Montis, both encrusting and Digis have been favs of mine and grow pretty well as well as stylophora.
I’ve got a variety of Acros (I can’t grow Tenuis for some reason). Some specific species ive tried:
Plana - Grows well and doesn’t lose much colour but it is generally green.
Millepora - Ive had some that went and got some nice red from but others that refused and a sunset I’ve attempted went from orange to yellow to green.
Pearlberry - That thing never decided to grow upwards and just sat encrusting.
Red Planet - I’m on my 3rd try, 1st try it stripped, 2nd it went brown and stripped and 3rd it started to strip, stopped but is now a small patch of green.

And other SPS;
Blue/Purple Monti Cap - That guy is growing nicely and staying a deep purple.
Red Monti Cap - That did actually grow incredibly well and kept a gorgeous red/orange colour.
Tropic Thunder Monti - What are the secrets?! I get it growing at a nice pace but it never grows enough to overtake a tank. Mine also show(ed) Orange, Pink and Green.
Mystic Sunset Monti - I got it growing at a nice pace but again, not an insanely fast pace.
Forest Fire Digi - This guy is finally starting to grow but something is knocking it off constantly.
Red w/ Gold Polyp Digi - I managed to get him growing and he did start to grow at a rate that would’ve overtaken the tank.
Stylophora (Both green and blue) - This actually grew at a nice rate and my green one is slowly growing.
Birdsnest (Hystrix) - any other colour that isn’t green and it goes green. It also doesn’t really grow too well for me.

Whereas with LPS, they grow at a nice rate and don’t complain much at all.

I’ve seen a small colony in person and it definitely looked like this! Don’t get me wrong, there are torches (and hammers!) that are brighter but in terms of gonis, this is one of the brightest.

I’m holding out for a frag of amazeballs as it’s a stunning coral.

I used to keep sps and stuff and had a lot of success. I used reef energy + have you tried that?

Not yet. What’s its “ingredients”?
I thought you said you had some

It’s carbs, amino acids, and vitamins in a liquid form

Note with leds you may need to increase dosage. But I just target feed the things that need it

Yeah I do, for some weird reason I thought it was something else. Nothing like being awake at 5am without getting to sleep to play Jedi Mind Tricks with thinking process.

Well this morning sucks. Woke , turned plant lights on fed kitty and went to the tank. A few things of note my Photon lights not connected to internet so had to readjust the controller manually. Easy peasy. Not the unpleasant part. That was seeing two dead rtn’d acros . My hello kitty freebie and my strawberry cake from this last sale. Then I’m freaking out cause I only see a few fish. Tang and wrasses nowhere to be seen. Tang shows up in a bit, then finally my Mel wrasse. Then here’s the next unhappy part. My China wrasse who had had an abraded area from several weeks ago that looked healed, popped out finally was accosted briefly by my nastier by the day tang and swam around ignoring food I put in , laid down in the sand and died within minutes. And when I go to work, the horribleness will continue as the problem child that another unit transferred to us last eve will no doubt be getting into altercations with pretty much everyone today/tonight when I go in.
