Had an awesome reefing day with @NHreefguy today.

We pulled almost all the corals and rock out of my 20 gallon reef. Moved that into my 30 gallon qt. Drained about 7 gallons out of the 20 and proceeded to net my firefish and melanurus wrasse. I was so surprised how easy it was. If a dart fish has no bolt hole it's a very easy fish to catch. The wrasse for what ever reason never went into the sand and scooped him right up. I'm not moving the diamond goby into the Reefer. Re homing or giving him back to my LFS.

Then we fragged out a meteor shower Cyphastrea, clemintine Zoa, pea pie pally. Hope they grow well for ya bud!

I hope my wrasse is out playing in the reefer tomorrow, he seemed very chill with the transition but the male Anthias and him had a slight territory dispute before disappearing into the sand.

Let's see how long he stays under.

Fantastic use of the space with the calupra. What are you lighting it with and do you feel its enough space to be effective?

Thanks! I'm using a wave point white led. It seems to be working. The light is set up on the P4. On at 9pm off at 5am.

It's a large chamber and it's packed really well with both calupra and chaeto. Also have a couple hermits in there too. The filtration on the reefer is very effective. My socks would plug up fairly quickly. Now the socks are staying cleaner and the left over food/detritus is being caught and dissolved by the macro. I'm liking it :)

Heading to my favorite LFS to pick up my next 2 fish for this tank.

Blue sided fairy wrasse, and a Kole tang! I'm excited, it'll be my first tang. The tang has been checking out just great. It's been in its own tank for 3-4 weeks now. The fairy wrasse just came in Tuesday, but eating and swimming well. Been told it's just very shy right now. The tang has also been very shy but has started warming up just this last week.

Fish in tank right now
2 lyretail anthias
2 mocha gladiator clowns
2 banggai cardinals
1 red fin fairy wrasse
1 Melanurus wrasse
1 firefish

My new babies. Yellow Kole Eye Tang and Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse. Currently In my 30 gallon marine quarantine tank. Watching the wrasse eating copepods crawling on the back glass :) I have some macro algae growing in here for the tang to munch on too. My camera phone does no justice.

No worries about any white spots in any pics. The tang had the slime coat catching some sand particles.
