Ive been thinking about rich testing my water to see where im at

I adjusted my Salinity probe to match his reading. my pH is .24 higher than what my probe is reading. At least its error in a good way. Probes reading 7.96 but I cant adjust that probe :/

Also got this metallic green Fungia at my LFS for $39. The skeleton is about 4" in diameter, with full PE im not sure. Forgot to get a picture at the store. Its slowly coming out. Maybe by tomorrow :)

Morning Fungia pictures. I'm wondering if the flow is too much right here. See the patch still pulled in. That would be where the flow is hitting it the most. On the other side it's out a lot more. See the fleshy flap around the bottom?

I confirmed my flow was just a little too much for my Fungia. The one spot that wasn't opening was the hint. I didn't want to move it and thought of another way to test my theory. So I moved this rock of pink and gold palys to the left side of the Fungia and Ta-Daaaa, PE symmetrically all the way around. The tentacles are more round and sticking straight up now too. FLOW IS KEY.

Looks really nice :) I've always loved fungia, but never been able to keep them due to the flow I keep in my tank.

Are you not able to manipulate the pH probe via the calibration settings? Im not familar with the GHL setup, but I know thats how you would manipulate it via the Apex.

I dont see a manual offset for this probe. @reefwiser

And thanks. Im glad i was able to see it was a flow issue. Now things seem to be great! I have a video of it eating some pellets. Ill upload it soon.

And I'm not sure about that one.
No I meant ph didn't u say ur ph was off from the lfs and your test?

But with the water being in a sealed container wouldn't the ph be diffent?

O well back to ur build

Yeah, I'm still not sure about that.

Maybe I have something to learn here. I would assume that since my GHL probe read 7.96 in the tank, that it would be the same at the lfs. Its a 20 minute drive to my lfs with a water sample. I know the temp would drop but how much of an impact on the test he performs I'm not sure...

I moved the Red mangroves into the hang on refugium, and moved the algae turf scrubber into the sump today.
