I have tried the coke bottle method, but I only caught other fish. My Mandarin Goby by was very unhappy when he got caught.I have built a mini spear gun but they of course disappear under my large pieces of live rock with corals on them. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Fishing line, if you're desperate. :/ I couldn't call it terribly humane and you might catch your other fish, but it could work. Either get a barbless hook or clip the barb off.

I had the same problem In my 125. I called up a friend, borrowed all of his buckets (and him) and drained the entire tank into our combined 5 gallon buckets. It still took me nearly 30 minutes to catch them after the water was fully drained. It wasn't easy but i had tried everything else. My corals were fine and my fish are much better without the devil damsels. It cost me a couple of frags that I gave my friend for his help.
