I even picked up this bad boy and have moved him multiple times, barehanded no stings, I think bubble tips aren't as sassy.

My grandmother who lived in Florida most of her life swore by Adolphs meat tenderizer to treat jellyfish stings. It breaks down protein so it makes sense it might work for anemones.

I plan to have some in the store, in the near future. In the meantime, I was really glad we had white vinegar!

Oh man, I've gotten stung by euphyllia, anemones, and quite a few other corals. Not to mention a Canary blenny, a foxface, and my personal favorite, got nailed by a dwarf lionfish so bad that I still can't feel the tip of my finger. That's just salty critters. We could talk about reptiles and arachnids as well if you like. Apparently I'm tasty.

I know that feeling so well; i'm darn tasty, too! Lol
I have managed to dodge any T bites, but I've had my fair share of herp chomps!

Haha peakong of reptiles, I just remembered how Levi would chase you around!

I have only gotten hit by a bristleworm and a yellow tang. I would take the tang over the bristleworm any day;)

Man, my fingers tips are both sore and numb for days after a bristle worm...

Ahahahaha I think there's a video of that somewhere. Only a little terrifying. I got nailed by a bristleworm like 2 weeks ago. My thumb still hurts. My tang nails me every time I stick my hand in the tank. I thought about getting some of those extra long fancy cow birthing gloves, but knowing me, I would never use them.

I'm finally getting better about using gloves. Better. Not great, but better.

Not in my tank, but I got stung by a man-o-war while in Florida. Of course I couldn't watch from a distance. It's kind of like a bad bee sting.

Had one of my nems get me: just a little itchy for a few hours. I was rearranging a rock and he grabed onto my wrist as I was passing by then let go - Guess I'm not tasty. I'm pretty sure she said she was sorry too. I attribute my lack of tastiness to my diet of coffee, nicotine and bourbon :p.

Hope the sting heals up w/o issue!

Fuzzy Dwarf lionfish here, it hurt. Guy was aggressive feeder and wedged between my arm and the glass trying to get food (me) and I didn't notice. The discoloration went to my elbow but it's hard to see in the pic. Also got nailed by long spine urchin- that stinks because the spines break off inside the wound and you can't do anything but wait to dissolve.

Years ago I got stung by my large carpet nem. I yanked my hand out so fast, it ripped a bunch of tentacles off which stuck to my skin & without thinking, tried picking them off with my fingers. I really learned how to howl that day. Took weeks to heal & little numbing shooting pains would travel through my fingers & up my arm for a long while afterward. So vivid a memory...seems like yesterday. Now I use gloves. Back then, nobody knew better.

Multiple times. Never know exactly what it is, but my guess is its the blueish/green polyps/palys whatever they are on the side of my live rock. I have such a small tank I always seem to accidentally brush them when I hit that back corner during a WC, and it usually occurs on the same spot on my hand because of how I am holding the tube (Nano tank). I should wear gloves, I have gloves, but my mindset is quick in and out not that much to do I'll be fine. Usually am wrong and end up with this and can't shake anyone's hand for at least a week. Starts as just a real bad itch, turns red and feels like fire on my hand short time later, area will swell and a day or more later will blister up and continue to itch like crazy. Blisters then pop and you are left with just red scabbiness that still itches.

Here's what you came for, sickos. ;)

So far working at an aquarium shop for 4 months I have found I don't react to nems unless I have an open cut, got bristle worm bristles in the back of my finger wich was just really itchy, got stung by a fork tailed rabbitfish when I first started and grabbed it through the net and it stung all along my hand [emoji14] that was an odd sensation, not painful, but annoying.

Once I got stung by a elegance coral on a small skin lesion at my hand. I got lymphangitis (inflammation of the lymphatic channels caused by the sting) which brought me to hospital for one week.
