If you can get a good half inch past the necrosis line, sure. If not, I would try the super glue 'trick' first. You may want to wait for others to chime in.

Honestly, it looks to be quite a bit of tissue necrosis. If you can find some branches/sections that are not showing the tissue loss you could frag them off and glue them to a new plug. Basically, you want to get as much good coral onto a new plug as you are trying to prevent the spread of this death.

See your picture updated below - all of the red circles seem to show loss of tissue - the best bet might be to cut off some good tips (like the top of the right one and one behind it - maybe the far back one)and glue them to the new plug.

I was trying to be positive but I think thaistalyn is right. That thing's about ready to give up the ghost. I'd snap a few frags at least a 1/4 inch up from healthy tissue (far from the necrosis) and pull the rest of the dead frag out ASAP to avoid spread (necrosis can spread from frag to frag).

Get it OUT of the tank ASAP. IT. CAN. SPREAD. (the necrosis). You risk all acros in your tank if you just leave it in there. Trust me, once you see bone, that part of the acro will not be coming back. So very not worth it.

Done! Got it out of my tank, didn’t know it is such a big problem! This is a cheap wwc pink panther frag so I though it was a steal...guess not
