Stocking a 40 breeder

Looking to stock my 40 breeder mixed reef. I currently have 2 black and white clowns (soon to be one) a royal grama and a cleaner shrimp. I'm looking for active fish to add some movement and color to my tank.
Tank is a 40 breeder with a 29 gallon sump. The skimmer is a ASM G3 with mods I also do 10% water changes every week. Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

why aer you getting rid of one of the clowns?? blennies have great personallity and are funny to watch, or flasher/fairy wrasse/ yellow corris wrasse all very active hunters and all over the rock work

Great thread. Dont mean to hijack but I also am stocking a 40B. Currently have only one fish, a hawaiian sixline wrasse.

I would add maybe a flash or fairy wrasse or a yellow watchman.

They both turned female and are constantly fighting. The old male is about to kill the female so I sold her rather her live with someone else then die in my tank.
Sol cal No probs Rather this help a few people then just me.
Which Fairy or flasher would you suggest? I like the idea of a blenny maybe a tailspot?

Midas blennies are very cool and very active. Yellow coris wrasses are nice looking fish and help the tank out by eating flatworms and other nasties. If you go with any wrasses, gobies, blennies, etc. make sure you make a top for your tank as they are all jumpers.

Most all the fairy and flashers stay in the smaller size. But with the.fish ban on the big island wrasse prices may go up.

About any blenny is a good choice but I suggest getting one that eats algae. Most do but some like more meaty food to. Black blenny, lawnmower blenny, bi-color blenny, starry blenny are ones I would look at. Harptail blenny are cool to but blennies with that body type seem to enjoy eating pods and meaty foods over algae.

I like the idea of a wrasse maybe a carpenters flasher or a yellow corris. Are there any schooling fish other that blue green chromis?

Cardinalfish school together, most of the anthias will get too big for a 40 breeder.

I'm now thinking a school of chromis, a flasher wrasse, a tailspot, maybe a very small goby? Sounds like a lot but most of the fish are fairly small and it is heavily skimmed plus I'm going heavy LPS and softies.
