Hello everyone. I'm making the switch to reefing and I was looking for stocking ideas for my 425xl. I'm looking for somewhat active and colorful fish that are beginner friendly and reef safe. Outside of one of the smaller tangs, I'm not sure what would be appropriate for my tank size.

Are you wanting a more peaceful, community type tank, or some semi aggressive fish and a little friction here and there

I don't mind a little aggression but nothing that will bully other fish to death.
Check out my stock list on the first post of my build thread. No issues between fish, just some territory skirmishes here and there but no injuries or damage. I also plan on adding a few more fish.

Lyretail anthias 3 females, 1 male.

I like Tomini or bristletooth tangs for a 4 ft tank. They stay quite small and pick at the rocks all day.
