Stocking ideas

I have a 3.2 gallon (7x8x9) and want to stock it. It currently has a some zoas, montis, hystrix, chalice, candy canes, blastos, and leathers and a single hermit crab. The tank has a lot of vertical space. I’m not sure what direction in terms of stocking I should go. I am wary of pistol shrimps due to their burrowing and potential to kill my hermit. Also it would be great if the inhabitants were relatively cheap. Any suggestions?

Can you post a photo of the tank? Not sure if you can fit much else for bio-load....

I've got a 3 gallon tank and I have a Duncan, Brain Favia, Green Star Polyps, Some Zooanthids, Astrea Star snail, had a Cerith snail, Red Legged Hermit Crab, some red macroalgae (Gracilaria Hayi) and a small Clownfish (I'm sure I'll be admonished by the R2R reef police for that).

The GSP, Brain Favia, Algae, Snail, Crab and Fish have all done very well. The LPS has good light but I don't dose and I haven't kept up with water changes weekly so I don't recommend those (not saying it can't be done).

With regard to stocking, what lighting are you going with?
There are so many great shrimp types, it doesn't have to be a pistol.
Macro algae would be awesome and not terribly expensive.
Looks around your local Petco if you have one.
