Stocking my 80 gallon Tank

Stock List help and advice needed! 80gal

Stock plan:
2 gladiator or mocha clownfish
1 tomini tang
1 juvenile yellow tang (unsure if i can)
1 coral beauty or eibles dwarf angel
1 midas blenny
1 wrasse (unsure on species)
1 yasha goby & pistol shrimp

Coral:
softies like toadstools, gorgonia, zoas, xenia
but would love to to try montipora cap and digitata

Inverts:
need suggestions for what i can keep and what would help best clean the camp
would like cleaner shrimp, halloween hermits and a crab

First picture is my tank 48” long x24” wide x17” tall

Everything you list looks fine for stocking. Just go slow!!!

for inverts, also add snails. I recommend nassarius and cerith for sand stirring, astreas and trochus for relentless algae grazing.

I'd recommend Tangs last

I think you can, they are quite small as tangs go, and different body shapes.

Tomini should be fine. Yellow you'll catch hell from the Tang Police, but it would likely do okay. They generally need 6ft tank. That being said I have a hippo in a 5ft tank, but I already have plans to trade/rehome in the future.

Just be sure to add both at the same time if possible.

okay thanks i didn’t think of adding them at the same time, wasn’t sure whether they’d get on or be compatible. i wanted to get a yellow tang pretty small and when it got about 4-5 inches i would rehome

IMO much more likely to not get along if you don't add at the same time. Tangs establish territory quickly. And just as a general FYI, it will not take that fish long to get to 4-5 inches. So take that into consideration. Fairly hefty price tag for a short time ownership. If only they were still $50 like they were 10 years ago.

I have had a couple yellow tangs and both were fairly aggressive. I don't like worrying about my fish fighting so I gave up on yellow tangs and got a yellow longnose butterfly. Mine has been safe with all the corals you mentioned and added that yellow I wanted back with a similar body shape. I wonder why it took me so long to get one now.

A 300 gallon. Shape is just preference like color. Just saying it is somewhat similar to the shape of a yellow tang with a beaked mouth and broad width to length
