Hi so my first reef a ten gallon is nearly done. The build thread is linked to my tag and all the equipment is arriving in the next week. I was wondering what to stock. A couple of ideas:

clownfish x2, neon goby x1

green chromis x2, neon goby x1

azure damselfish x1

thoughts?

CUC will be a snail, a hermit crab, and a serpent star.

thanks

Chromis seem to be pretty active swimmers. Imo (which isn't worth very much) bigger fish like clowns in a small tank are ok if they don't do a whole lot. Where a clown is happy chilling in it's corner, a chromis would be out and about. A 20 long may work for the chromis, you could also see what jacking the flow does. Increased flow I'll make it work harder and keep it from atrophy.

are you plan on having torch coral cause the clowns might decide they want the torch to host them and would pee it off

maybe, i heard it wasnt to hard to keep. What do u mean by pee it off
they will have the torch host them and annoy it to the point it will stop opening up or kill it completely clowns aint worth the hassle i would get a few gobys avoid "Valenciennea" species though

For a tank your size, I’d run with the clowns and maybe a couple neon or shark nose gobies. They stay real small and mind their own business.
