Hi all,

Quick stocking question..

I have a 40Breeder with two ocellaris clowns, a pistol shrimp and a royal gramma.

Was thinking of adding a lawnmower blenny, yasha goby and pearly jawfish.

I know the blenny/gobies could have issues

I’d like to top the stocking off with a six line added last.

Looking for feedback.

Casey

I’m on my 2nd goby, and as long as they’re added directly where the pistol shrimps cave is you won’t have any issues. It’ll dart away into the cave and won’t come out for a while, but at least it’s safe. Yashas are small so watch for aggression and make sure you have a lid. Not sure about the blenny or 6line

oh and I forgot to add purple firefish.

sounds like maybe too many gobies..

I was thinking of puttin pvc and adding sand to the left side for the jawfish… pistal has established in the left (so the yasha there)

and the fire fish free swimming.

The list looks good to me.

But if you have no sand in the tank I would drop the jawfish, they like to have a good 4”-5” of sand, and they will build burrows in different places.

my Firefish spends quite a bit of time in his hole peeking out. Lately, in fact, I’ve found him and my Yellow Watchman Goby hanging under the same rock. He’s out front at dinner time though.

The sixline may be a problem for some of your other fish though. They can be a tad aggressive.

I have sand.. should have specified.. just make the sand bed deeper on the left side to get to the 4-5 inches

any issues adding them at the same time? any bio load issues and cycling? it’s 4 fish… freshwater would be fine, but I am unsure of saltwater.

the six line i can cross off the list- i f anything i would add later

looking for feeback on updated stocking

2 ocellaris clowns
YWG and pistol shrimp
royal gramma
purple firefish
lawnmover blenny
yellowhead jawfish

is adding a flameback angelfish and flasher wrasse overkill? i am partial to the flameback

thatd put me at 8 total and finish my fish adds.

have an aquamax 1.5 hob protein skimmer and fluval 307 cannister- will likely switch to sump over time
