Can I add anymore? Like another tang and something else?

180 is a decent size, but I sense it is a new tank and you may want to slow down and not add anything else for a while.

How old is the tank?
Can you post a full tank shot?
How are your water parameters?

In your list, you didn't mention corals. Is this tank fish only with live rock?

I personally wouldn't, out of your current stocking list, I see at least 7 fish that will get pretty large. And not a lot of rock, which serves both as places to swim around and hide, and as filtration for all those fish. Just my 2 cents.

I have a lot more fish in my 180 - almost 3x more LOL! - but only a few larger fish. Also mine has a lot more rock in it, with additional rock in a large sump. Your aquascape doesn't provide much room for fish to hide.

What is "MI" ?

He has at least 6 fish that should get close to or over 12". Think of 6 fish almost or over a foot long, swimming around a 6 foot tank.

And a MI is a moorish idol.

Yikes! And no place for them to hide from each other.

Thanks for the explanation.

Makes total sense! I think I'll start by adding more rock. My fear was to overcrowd them with rock. How much more would you suggest?

In the picture I see a moorish idol, majestic angel, and hippo tang, but you did not list them. Are they no longer there? If they are no longer there than I would imagine you could add a few more fish successfully in a 6' tank. I am a big supporter of QT with medication, especially with fish that have a thin slime coat like tangs.

I would look online and do some research on aquascape and try to copy that. Can't really tell you to buy X amount of rocks, as some are large but light, some are small but heavy.

Tangs in particular while they do like some open swimming area, they also really like weaving in and out of things. And caves and hidey holes really help with aggression with fish in general.

Perfect! Have the hiding space towards the back. Will look into adding more for weaving.
