Strange black worm in sump

I haven’t seen one like this before. I was kicking up detritus in my sump and found this. It has a bunch of dangly bits, but not like any of the spaghetti worms that I’ve had. It looks like it has a mouth that it can elongate.

Can anyone ID? I didn’t see anything like it in any of the hitchhiker guides and pictures I’ve found of other black worms show a smoother body.

I'm late, but I agree that it's hard to say for sure without more pics. That said, a black hair worm (Cirratulid) of some variety would be my first thought; unfortunately, I'm not terribly familiar with the family, so I can't narrow it down beyond that yet. It should be harmless/beneficial; assuming it is a hair worm, the dangly bits are going to be either tentacles for feeding or branchiae (for breathing).

A better picture of the "head" would help. That might actually be a sea cucumber (if it has a head with feathery appendages).
